Names & Labels

This is my 1st ever blog, I'm not one of those people who excel at filling out forms, i nearly had a panic attack just filling out a Medical Card form, i don't know why as i know all the answers IE my name address and so on and so on. Thank god I'm not alone in this as iv recently found out there is loads more people who feel this way, a lot more than i realised.

So when i was starting up this blog i had to fill out some basic info which was fine and i filled all the things i had to but what got me thinking the most was my blog name, so wanted a very appropriate name so i thought back to where it all began...... reverse back to the year 2006, a little girl came into the world kicking and screaming and basically hasn't stopped since.

As being a 1st time mom i thought all this hard work was normal even as she reached 2 and stopped speaking, as if she lost her words, i took a while to pause and think about what to do next as some people said, she is fine, give her time but i think a mom knows best, now mind you there are still some days that us autimoms question things but def not about going down the diagnoseses road because so what if she is labelled, at the end of the day its not about a label "Autism" it is about how we can help our kids become the full potential that they can be.

So now the next thing was a name, one thing was for sure was Autimom as that is what i am and proud of it and 2nd what would describe my wonderful daughter, after much debate with my inner self i came up with Butterfly as they are the most beautiful delicate things but very strong..................................
